Mother's Day

Sorry that I am a little late publishing my Mother's Day greetings. I truly have not had a moment to sit down and write.
Our celebrations started Saturday night with the Mother/Daughter banquet. I am so thankful that my Mom got to go with me this year. The older I get and the more I realize the sacrifices she made for me, the more dear she becomes. I've never seen her angry or seen her lose her composure no matter what the circumstances. She has always been the perfect example of a lady. Last year I was pregnant at this time, and I promised that if I had another boy I would dress him up for the banquet. Here is a picture of me and little Dylana on our way out the door. I did win the prize for being the Mother with the most males under her roof. I think that means that I've lowered the most toilet seats, laughed at the most potty humor, and cleaned the most rocks out of my dryer
We had a wonderful service Sunday. Mrs. Jan Miller, from AL, spoke in the morning service. If any of you have any extra time you should listen to her.
Harold's Mom actually prepared dinner for everyone this year. It was nice for Carla and I to have a little break. I did make a banana pudding pie, since it is one of my Mom's favorites. I will post the recipe. Sorry that I don't have any other pictures. The batteries in my camera went dead. I am feeling very guilty that I didn't get any good pictures of us with our Moms. I'll have to do it later.
I wish all my friends a belated Happy Day!

I wish I could have seen Dylan!! Poor baby! You can borrow one of my girls next year if you want :-) That was nice of Harold to cook. I will have to try the banana pie, it sounds good!

Let me clarify a little. He actually had on a boy outfit, the headband was the only girl thing. We actually took it off, and only put it back on for special people. Harold says that the next time I post a picture of him he has to wear camouflage or something equally male in essence.

Kayla;
I won't tell Dylan about the headband if you won't tell Micah about the fishing hat with a flower. ALthough, Micah sees the picture and says, "there's a flower on my head!" Next Mother's Day let's just get together and you and I can make Camo dresses.:)

PS Your Mom is awesome.

I love it! Dylan was "beautiful"! I can completely understand...I never get to go to the mother's day bruch because it is always for mother/daughter's...how dumb is that? Is one not a mother unless she has a daughter? I think not! I am more of a mom because, like you, have to raise and lower more toliet seats! (and clean the floor and wall beside them!) Ha! Loved hearing about your day!

My inspired idea that Harold might be BD was crushed tonight when I realized it was Barry Dingle not Harry Dingle. Do you know who it is?

I'm glad your mom got to be with you for the banquet. She is one great lady. Best nap in the world is found at Ms. Nellrina's house!
And by the way, you are looking quite lovely these days. Please pass along your post-fourth-baby-weight-loss-secrets!!

Love ya!
Tara
p.s. My mom saw your banana pie recipe and is anxious to try it, as she thinks it may be the long-lost recipe of my Grandma H's pie!

Your baby is adorable...Although I did have to LOOK TWICE, for I knew he was a boy...but wondered WHAT he was doing with the head band on! =) Glad that you got to go to the banquet with your Mother...how sweet! She is a dear lady...OH THAT MY KIDS COULD SAY THAT THEY'VE NEVER SEEN MY FEATHERS RUFFLED. = } My Mother is the same way...she evented patience...AND I THINK THAT SHE GOT ALL OF THE PATIENCE IN OUR FAMILY...and I was not really left with any. HA!
Oh, to be like her! =)
Glad you had a good day, and thanks for the yummy recipe...I look forward to trying it.
Glad the muffins turned out good for ya...thanks for your nice comment!
Love ya, Heather =)

Great tribute, Kayla! We are of all people most blessed to have godly mothers. Isn't it nice not to have to sit for long hours to think of good things to say about the woman who raised you?

I am, however, slightly worried about my friends and their cross-dressing children. We may need to address this further in the future. Kidding!! You guys make me laugh. I love to laugh. No...seriously, I do. I mean it. Really.
