One of my projects for the summer was to do a "Tom Sawyer" portrait of the boys. I did one when I only had three and have been wanting to redo it with all four boys. My plan is to have it put on canvas. So I finally got with it and took the pictures. The problem is that now I can't decide which one to use. I keep going to the website to have it done, but then can't decide what I want to do. I've always been bad a making decisions. My poor husband gets very upset with me anytime we go out to eat because I can never make up my mind. So now I am coming to blog world for help. Please give me your opinion on which picture I should use and if I should do black and white or sepia. Most of these are in color, but I did one black and white and one sepia. I'll number them to make the process easier.
One
Two (sepia)
Three
Four (black&white)
Five
Six
Just for the fun, here are the individual shots.

Well for me its better to be more realistic.
I LOVE your photographs! I must say though, that I prefer number 1. I am not sure on the coloring. Seems that the Sepia may be more in terms with the time though. Make it look older and rustic!
VERY creative! I need to get me some of those creative ideas for my 3 little ones (1 girl, 2 boys).

I think I would most like 5 in the Sephia ( i like how symetrical that grouping is)...I wish their faces were showing more. Too cute!! (Mom says too, too cute!!:)
I personally like number 2 in Sepia. I also love the one of Dylan at the end just as an added side!!
Definitely love the sepia!! I love both two and four and the side shot of Landon is just too cute!!!!! What a great idea! Love it!
love #2, love all of the pictures you post of the boys, they are adorable!!! Love ya, Sandra
#2! Adorable!!
#2 in Sepia! Adorable!!
They are all so cute.
I vote # 2 - love the sepia but also think it's the one that all four are captured in a pose that best goes with the setting and idea. I think the whole concept is absolutely adorable!
All very cute! I like how Landon is up on his tip-toes in no. 4... And I love b&w or sepia~ much more antiquey...
You've asked the wrong person. I like them all! You must have a lot of fun with those boys!!
Thanks for sharing them!
Beth
Those are ADORABLE!! Great job!! I really like them all but LOVED #4 where he is on his tip toes. SO CUTE!!!
These are all so so cute! My favorite is #4. I just love how Landon is on his toes on that bucket. I'll have to say though #2 is a close second. I'm partial to sepia tone but these will look great whatever you choose. You are a great photographer. Maybe you should go into business....
Kayla,
Kimber calls me a lurker...but this lurker will give my passionate vote for picture number two!! It's awesome. What a clever idea!! And, what cute little guys.
When are ya'll headed up this way? Anxious for another Julia and Kayla video debute!!
Have a terrific day! Dorinda
Love one and two. I really like the sepia look, and also love the pose with the apples, he looks so relaxed. LOL! Great pictures...
This is one good way of getting plenty of comments. I like #2 but I think with the blue in the overalls like you have on three. They are all adorable and it's hard to pick when it's your own kids. I'm sure your dicision will be just right.
love the pixs of the boys .

Kayla, love your pictures. Though #4 is the one. The lights and darks stand out best in this one.
Thank you for sharing.
No wonder you're having a hard time deciding!. They are all so adorable! Sorry I'm no help!
All of them are way too cute. I loved Ethan chomping on the apple in #1!
How Adorable! #2 sepia would be my pick. What does Grandma think?

Glad I decided before I read the comments. My favorites are #2 and #4 - in that order. They are all great. I know why you're having a hard time deciding. It was great to spend some time with you while I was home. Hanging out with you is always lovely. :)
Yay for Balderdash!
I'm really rushing to write this; I haven't had and can't take but a few moments online this week, but I had to put my 2 cents in! I REALLY prefer #2 just like it is. To my eye, it has the perfect balance of props and spacing, and the sepia gives it a nostalgic mood that is just perfect!
I came back to look at #2 (and to read the rest of the comments) and was amused (must not have noticed it before) that "lotto 649" (which I'm assuming is someone trying to sell lotto tickets-I didn't click on his name to find out) not only actually has an opinion to give to someone he doesn't know (again I am assuming) but a not so nice opinion at that!!! (He apparently completely missed the part where you said you were doing a Tom Sawyer portrait.)
After that, I'm sure we will all rush right to his site and give him our money...NOT.
(Could I find a way to us a few more parenthesis?)
