How's Your Hearing?

The last few days my boys have been having problems with their ears. I don't know if it has been caused from moving anxiety or is just unique to little boys. Sunday mornings are always a little hectic around our house, but even more so since we are between houses. So while driving to church I wasn't paying complete attention to the conversation behind me until Collin asked "Mom, was Amazing Grace an angel?". I have no idea what he heard that made him attribute that name to an angel. Then yesterday morning the boys where watching an old black and white version of Robin Hood when I heard Collin say "they must be in hell". I was quite astonished until I heard Ethan respond with "No Collin it's Nottingham not Naughtyham". I thought everything was going along rather nicely until I told Landon that we were going to Constitution Park later on in the day. He eagerly ran out to tell his brothers, when I walked in the room I was greeted by a very concerned Ethan. "Ummm Mom, did you say we were going to Constant Pooping Park?" If anyone has any suggestions to help remedy these problems we are having please let me know.

Thank goodness that wasn't the "constantly pooping" park we went too - that is hilarious!!!

Maybe they have swimmer's ear. "-)

Heehee! That's great. Maybe ear wax? There's some kind of candle treatment~ like lighting a match and sticking it into the ear? ;o) Just kidding...

I agree with toots. It's only just beginning! Very funny story. We checked out that park for the first time yesterday and both my little boys pooped in their diapers while we were there. So maybe Ethan was right after all!

It is "DEAFinately" a boy thing! I even asked my boys' Pediatrician about Micah's hearing and he laughed at me. Then again maybe HE never heard me! I asked Matt what he thought about it and he said, "Huh?" I'm thinking they don't grow out of it. Try saying cupcake or pizza and they hear that just fine though. hmmm go figure!

Thanks for the laugh friend. I just love your guys!

I'm so thrilled with news of your house - I had been absent from the blogger world for so long, I hadn't heard your great news! I'm excited for the blessings God is bringing your way and I rejoice in those with you for I know in regards to the house situation - it's been a long time coming!

And your boys, whew! I just love it! I always enjoy checking in to hear of their latest antics - it makes my day - always.

I also agree with the others - it definitely is a boys/men thing and unforunately there seems to be no help as of now. I believe 12 women scientists have started a non-profit charity with the main goal of research, treatments and cures. I know there has been requests for funding and in praphrasing here ... "We do not pay salaries, nor do we buy equipment or rent space. Our expenses are limited to the cost of putting on our fundraising events, which are staffed by a growing number of volunteers. To date, we have raised over $300,000 but we need your help. Lack of substantial funding is slowing progress. We hope that you will take this opportunity to join us in our endeavors to cure men's hearing loss. Whether your donation is small or large, you can be part of the coming cures. We believe that you will be able to look back with pride and see that your contribution helped fuel the greatest life changing cures in the history of the world!"

I cannot actually name the oranization here for these women scientist safety - as you can imagine men all over the world are seeking to destroy said research!

Truly funny stuff. :) Actually, have you ever read any Mrs. Piggle Wiggle books? She had a pretty inventive cure for this sort of thing.

Haven't heard from you for awhile. Saw some pics of you from the camping trip though, so I know you're alive! Adorable pictures of your boys on Mary Ellen's blog.
